The spectacular Tizi In Tichka pass, about 100km of charming curves on the High Atlas mountains, is there to make you start appreciating what the south of the kingdom really looks like and how magnificent it is!! We will go through Ouarzazate to the beautiful village of Skoura. Day 03: TINGHIR - MERZOUGA.
Tinghir is a big village with a very special charm; a big oasis of more then 40 kms with most sorts of fruits, thousands of palm trees, olives and much more. A morning walk through the old mud houses, wandering for some time in the very green oasis along very narrow paths, crossing women coming back from their small green fields on mule back, is really a very special experience!! We will continue northwards to crown our experience in the Toudra Gorge: a wall like mountain fissure of about 300 m. Just the way to Toudra Gorges is simply magical!! We will leave Tinghir via Tinjdad to Erfoud. After visiting Erfoud we will continue via Rissani to Merzouga for dinner and overnight by the dunes. Optional two hour camel ride to witness the most beautiful sunset or sunrise over the dunes. Overnight in Merzouga. (B, D)
Day 04: MERZOUGA - ZAGOURA.
The experience in Merzouga is very rewarding as everything there is very special: the golden dunes, the moon, the stars, and the sun. In short, and as one of our guests said about Merzouga "I don't think there is a more peaceful and mysterious place on Earth than that".We will leave Merzouga and its verypeaceful world through the Berber villages of Alnif and Tazarine to Zagoura. Anexcursion to the famous Tamgroute library with its very old Koranic scripts datingback to the 12th century is not to be missed. Overnight in Zagoura. (B, D)
